Unless you take your kitten to a veterinarian, most cat owners can’t determine the cat’s sex when they adopt newborn kittens that are only a few weeks old. Even though the genitals of the cat become clearer as they age, the testicle sac or the scrotum is not visible in the male cats even when they are not spayed.
A vet uses the rule of punctuation marks to identify the genitals of the male cats and female cats. To identify the gender of the animal, gently lift its tail. You can also rub the fur on its back gently, which will cause the cats to raise their tail on their own. The genitals of the male or female cats are located just under their tail. When the female cats raise their tail, their genitals will appear like an inverted exclamation sign. The females have a long slit just above the anus. As a kitten, both the anus and the vagina of the females look like two dots. In the males, both the scrotum and the anus opening are placed like a colon. The two round or circular dots lie at a distance of an inch from one another. In the case of spayed males, the two dots may lie close to each other. A neutered male is less aggressive than a whole male, while a spayed female does not go into heat after every two weeks. Neutering a female is important for avoiding the chances of it getting pregnant and becoming a mother of an unplanned litter.
How Can You Tell If Your Cat Likes You
If your cat likes a cuddle on your lap and purrs when you pat it then it probably likes you. Cats will choose to hang around people they really like, the same as you do with your friends. If your cat likes being petted it will probably stay still, close its eyes, and move its head or body so that you rub its favourite places. This might be along the cheeks, under the chin, or between the ears and eyes.
However, if your cat doesnt like these things, dont panic that it doesnt like you! Some cats are friendlier than others, and your cat might not like to be cuddled, the same way some people love hugs and others dont. They Bring You ‘presents’
It might seem like a twisted attempt to make you hurl, but actually by presenting you with a dead animal or insect, your cat is telling you they love you.
Many believe that your cat will bring you ‘presents’ if they don’t think you are an adequate hunter, as they don’t want you to starve.
Sometimes they don’t quite get it right, for example by bringing you something inedible like a toy or a leaf, but the loving motivation is still there.

Heidi Maskelyne, CEO of ProDog Raw highlights that pets, and dogs especially, can live for a long time.
She says: Dogs are a 12-15 year constant responsibility and they require a high level of dedication. Your dog often relies on you whole-heartedly and that is not something you should take likely.
In terms of getting a pet with a partner, you need to make sure you can provide that pet with consistency. Pets need and deserve consistency in schedules and in the love the receive.
The pets overall wellbeing and happiness should be a major priority for you as soon as you get it, so consider whether you can make that your focus when getting a pet with your partner.

If you get a pet together when youre not ready, your dog may suffer. Pets pick up on our negative emotions and stress which makes them anxious in turn, Heidi says.
Heidi added that it is common for pets to be left alone more after an argument or a breakdown of the relationship, and the pet will see either partner less frequently.
On occasion, the pet is re-homed because the financial implications and caring responsibilities become too much to bear for one person, which can negatively impact the pet.

Its true that, for most animals, a headbutt is anything but a sign of affection. But for cats, its actually a loving gesture!
