Pet and Wildlife Rescue is doing its part to help keep the cat population in Chatham-Kent in check.
Theyre offering local residents discounted vouchers to get their cat spayed or neutered.
There is a limit of five per household, and the cost to the cat owner is $40, the rest is covered by us, said PAWR operations manager Myriam Armstrong. They would be able to pick from one of the four clinics that are participating in the program, and they also have the option to get a free microchip for their cat.
The vouchers can be used at Merritt Animal Hospital in Chatham, Dresden Veterinary Clinic, Grand Ave Pet Hospital in Chatham and Tilbury Veterinary Hospital.
Armstrong added that the program is open to Chatham-Kent residents only.
So they can purchase it online and it gets mailed to them within a week. Then they get to pick from one of the clinics that is participating, they contact the clinic, book their own appointment. Our feral cat voucher program is designed to reduce the cost of getting your feral cats altered by providing you with a coupon that can be used at the time of surgery. This program is open at no cost to residents of Centre County. If you are a Centre County resident, you can use the voucher at any veterinary practice in Centre County or at the Allegheny Spay/Neuter Clinic in Woodland.

Qualified low-income and moderate-income residents who reside within the City of Albuquerque with DOG and CATS who have no medical issues:
- Apply to the Spay/Neuter Lottery anytime in English or Spanish.
- If your application is selected during an upcoming lottery, you will be contacted by AWD via phone and email.
- You will have one week to respond to AWD and claim your voucher. If you do not respond within one week, you application will be put back into the pool of lottery applicants.
