St Cloud Shelter Cats/kittens Need A Home This Holiday
Are you hoping to add to your family and adopt a fur baby this holiday? Before you start your search, you should check outTri-County Humane Society.
The TCHS is running a promotion where you can adopt an adult cat, 6 months and older, for just five bucks. All kittens, less than 6 months old, are eligible for a 2 for 1 promotion.
To start the process, you just have to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire to help narrow down which animals will be the best fit for you. You’ll also be able to make an appointment to see the cats too.
You can also browse through successful adoption stories on the shelter’s website. According to TCHS, “animals are adopted quickly … we advise you to call us if you find an animal you are interested in to place a travel hold or deposit on them.”
The cat will be held for two full business days with a $20 non-refundable fee. If you decide to adopt the cat, then the $20 will go toward your pet adoption fee.
If you love cats but you’re not interested in adopting at this time, you can still help out. You can donate, fundraise, volunteer, or even foster. Check out more details on the Tri-County Humane Society website.

How Many Pets Can You Legally Have In Saint Cloud
Have you seen the crazy pet limitation guidelines we have for Saint Cloud? Not that I think it’s bad, but it looks like people are asking some pretty interesting questions about the pet combinations that people can have it St. Cloud, so the powers that be actually had to provide folks with a drawing of what is acceptable and what is not.
You can have up to 10 pets in a single family dwelling but not more than two dogs and four cats in one home. That means you can have two dogs and four cats or, you can have four cats or you can have two dogs and two cats, or one dog and three cats. Got it?
In addition to that, you can have other pets like turtles, iguanas, snakes, gerbils, hamsters, mice, guinea pigs, and different types of birds. It looks like this:
*You could have four cats, one turtle, one rabbit, two birds, and two hamsters.
*How about three cats, one dog, two turtles, one bird, one gerbil, one lizard, and one snake.
*You could also have two cats, two dogs, two turtles, one bunny, two lizards, and a snake.
*Or maybe you would like to have one cat, two dogs, a turtle, two bunnies, a bird, a rodent, a lizard and a snake.
The combination of things you can have is listed clearly in the chart below.
If you are someone that lives in a multiple family dwelling, or if you are a commercial or industrial property the list is a bit different. If you fall into this category, your pet limit is 6. Do we need to show you the combinations?

Tips For Boarding Your Cat
- Request a tour of our cattery to see exactly where your cat will be, and which type of suite would accommodate best to their needs. There is no reason any facility should deny a tour request for any reason.
- Bring a familiar item from home to help calm any anxiety they may have.
- Bring your cats typical canned or dry food because a sudden change in diet can add extra stress and cause the cat to stop eating or have stomach issues. Always pack extra just in case of an emergency arises and you need to extend the stay of your pet.
- If your cat has health issues and cannot go without a meal , always pack something you know your cat would not deny in any situation as at times a different environment causes changes in eating habits.
- The return home can take some time for your pet to adjust again. Make the return home as calm as possible and they will adjust just fine.
Please keep all your pets under control, on a leash, or in a crate, while on the premises, for safety reasons.

Why Should You Adopt
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you’ll have a friend for life.
What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
