Need to rehome our 8 year old Tortoiseshell cat, Penny. Penny is an affectionate cat on her terms, sometimes on her terms. She loves to snuggle in your lap and sleep with you at night. She is 8 years old and we rescued her as a kitten. She loves to spend time outdoors, especially if you’re outside with her, and she keeps close to home. She has spend her life living alongside our Papillon and they get along well. Penny would be best suited in a home with older children or as a companion to an older couple. She is easy going and quite lovely. Her shots are all up to date. She doesn’t love her crate, so vet time is a bit of a challenge, but once she’s back home her good nature comes back. The good thing, is she only has to go in her crate for shots once a year. She’s fully litter trained and easily tolerates her weekly nail trim. And she will do anything for a treat, even come when you call her. We hate to re-home her, but we will be relocating soon. Penny will be greatly missed but will be a lovely addition to the right family. We need to re-home her by mid September. Thank you for considering her as a wonderful addition to your family.

I fell in love with British Short Hair cats and kittens because of their personalities and feline beauty. We decided to breed rare, unique colors. It took a lot of planning and a lot of preparation, because we wanted to start out with the best available breeding cats. We soon found out that if we wanted really the best, we had to bring our breeders from the best EU lines. WE brought them from GE, Holland, Israel. So far, only one of our Queens is “American” from Florida.

Q: What is the health of British Shorthair like?A: I breed for health. BSH are a healthy breed. They do not have diseases related to breed. We tested all our adult breeders for PKD – Polycystic Kidney Diseases at UC Davis and they are all negative. When parents are negative, kittens cannot inherit PKD. Some health problems can be triggered or aggravated by inbreeding, and some cats in the US were or are in-bred. As a Healthcare professional I vaccinate all our kittens myself and I use MLV Nobivac – triple vaccine that protectsagainst feline rhinotracheitis, feline panleukopenia , and feline calicivirus , plus protects against feline Chlamydophila. My kittens are vaccinated at the age of about 6-7 weeks and again when 9-10 weeks old. They are wormed twice at the same age. I use Revolution as a flea prevention.
Note: But families who have reserved a kitten, can visit/see THEIR RESERVED kitten after the first set of vaccinations are done at about 6-7 weeks old with mutual agreement. During COVID-19 we have opted for scheduled Zoom /Facetime calls for the reserved kittens to protect everyones health.
