A lot of the time it seems that the best way to address your pets biting issue is to start off by trying to understand why they are doing it.
It could be as simple as them getting a little over excited when playing or it could just be down to plain boredom.
It is good practice to review how you have been playing with your cat as it could also be asking you to stop.
Other Ways To Stop A Kitten Biting
Ignore the behavior. If a bite happens silently walk away without making eye contact or showing any emotion.

A recommendation that might work for some kittens is to get another one of approximately the same age so they can play with each other. However, there are no guarantees that they will continue to get along once they have matured.
How Often Should Kittens Be Fed
Do kittens need a certain number of pouches of wet food a day? Mine only eats one but she has kitten biscuits available all day.
Kittens under six months old should be fed at least three times a day, to help regulate their blood sugar at this age.
The exact amounts required at each feed is something you should check with the manufacturer, as this will differ depending on the type of food fed. Perhaps there is a feeding guideline on the packet?
We would recommend your kitten gets a good commercial kitten food to ensure your kitten’s nutritional needs are met. Their food should be checked and replaced at least four times daily.

Focus Their Playful Energies On Toys Not Hands
Excited, playful kitties may want to grab onto your hands and feet, but its important to teach them that only toys are for attacking! Otherwise, as they become bigger, their biting may cause accidents, and end up hurting you.
So the next time your playful pet jumps at your ankles or chews your hands, react by saying a sharp no!, redirect them onto a toy and stop playing for a few minutes. To reinforce the toys, not hands! message, never use your hands or feet as kitty playthings. Instead, always use a toy – ideally one held at a distance from your body, such as feathers on a string, balls or stuffed toys.

Cats are sensitive and can pick up on our energy and emotional state. You want your kitten to know that you appreciate that he stopped biting during the time out.
