What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

Our Cattery is located in Dunnellon, Florida, which is in Central Florida with Crystal River and Ocala close by and about one hour or so from Orlando, Daytona Beach, Tampa, Jacksonville, The Villages, Lake City, and Gainesville, Florida. Since we are just a few hours drive from Melbourne, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, and all of South Florida it makes it easy to schedule a visit to our cattery when we have a litter available. We have many of our kittens living all over Florida in Ocala, Dunnellon, Orlando, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Gainesville, Lake City, Leesburg, Tampa, and Tallahassee just to name a few, as well as across the Southeastern United States in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, and many other US states. The MajestiCoon Maine Coon started in Europe where its still a household name almost 40 years after the first MajestiCoon was born in the United Kingdom.

They take part in many adoption events and are always looking for new fosters and people to adopt pets.

Save an animals life by adopting directly from Animal Services. Animal Services hosts adorable dogs and cute cats waiting to be taken home. You can view photos and videos of their animals on Facebook, but you can also check out their available animals on their website as well. They handle lost and abandoned animals and are a kill shelter, so if you rescue from them, you could save an animals life. They have events where often times they waive the adoption fees.

A Few Words About Scammers And Back Yard Breeders Please Be Careful
Please be cautious of Maine Coon sites that are scams, there are way too many of them, some in the US and some worldwide. If it seems too good to be true, I assure you it is. Many of these scams are easily identified as Ads promising big discounts and savings, these are mostly fake scammers. After all, we are Breeders of Maine Coon Cats, our catteries are not online stores or discount stores, please dont be fooled.
I wrote an article about scammers and the red flags to look for, please educate yourself if you are actively looking for a cat to purchase. Please be aware that not all Maine Coon breeders breed their own kittens, there are some in Florida and around the country that actually just import kittens from overseas and resell them for a profit, avoid the risk of scammers and cat flippers and save potential heartache. There are also many BYBs or Back Yard Breeders who actually own cats they breed but are typical of poor quality, unregistered, or have poor bloodlines and many health problems, they may be far cheaper than purebred Maine Coons, as the old adage goes. You get what you pay for. Many of these are right here in Florida, all over the country and the world.
