Hailing from the Blue Ridge Mountain college town of Boone, North Carolina, Rainbow Kitten Surprise are lead vocalist Sam Melo, guitarist Darrick Bozzy Keller, electric guitarist Ethan Goodpaster, bassist Charlie Holt, and drummer Jess Haney. This little indie band plays a mix of bright indie pop and earnest, harmony-driven folk-rock. Their mix of tight instrumental chops and jam band finesse helped earn them a strong grassroots following.
Indie-folk singer-songwriter and guitarist, all the way from Knoxville, Tennessee, Briston Maroney, has self-released two EPs and has three label released EPs, including his most recent collection, “Sunflower which was partially released as an EP in 2020 and then was re-released as a full album in April 2021.

Rainbow Kitten Surprise has booked two nights at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 2022.
The alternative band will perform at the famous music venue on Monday, July 11 and Tuesday, July 12, concert promoter AEG Presents announced Monday.
Rainbow Kitten Surprise will be joined by Briston Maroney for the pair of summer performances.
Tickets for the all-ages concerts are scheduled to go on sale to the general public Friday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m. at AXS.com and by phone at 888-929-7849. Ticket prices range from $52.80 to $80.50 plus service fees.
