SIAMESE Cat PROS and CONS (MUST-KNOW)

If you cant find any breeders with litters due in your area, you can help an adult Siamese by adopting and rehoming a cat in need.

There are various shelters and rescue centers across the US, I recommend doing a little research and saving an older cat from a life in a shelter.

You will generally pay a lot less for an adult Siamese than a kitten, especially if youre adopting from a rescue shelter.

I recommend taking a look on petfinder.com. This site is one of the largest online databases that connects you with around 11,000 animal shelters across the country.

I am the proud owner of these beautiful Siamese cats

We Have Adorable and Loving Kittens

Our Siamese kittens share our home and bedroom. They are raised underfoot and have the personalities to prove it.

Our Story

Siamese cats have been a part of my family for over thirty years. They are such a dynamic and outgoing breed of cat that they were able to fit in with our unconventional lifestyle. Earlier in my life, my husband and I decided to buy a sailboat and spend time sailing along the Pacific Coast and in the Sea of Cortez. We did this for four years, sailing and living aboard our boat in the winters and traveling to Minnesota for the summer. Our Rottweiler dog and Lilac Point Siamese traveled and sailed with us during this time. She was amazing. I always tell people not to let a cat change their lifestyle, especially if she or he is Siamese.

What We Do

We are a small cattery raising Classic Siamese cats. They share our home with us and the babies are little rascals raised underfoot.

Our Kittens

We have a small litter that will be available in a few weeks. If you are interested please let me know and I will send pictures and details regarding pedigree and deposit information.

This is a hard question to answer. Like a lot of exotic cat breeds, the price can vary a lot depending on the lineage, any noticeable features, and so on.

Generally speaking, you can expect to pay anywhere between $600-$1,000+.

But as I said, this really depends on the breeders and the exact type of Siamese youre buying.

Are Siamese Good Pets

Yes, Siamese are great pets and Im not being biased.

They are one of the most lovable and loyal cat breeds there is. They enjoy nothing more than hanging out with their human companions and arent quiet about it either.

If you socialize them from kittens, they are known to get on well with other pets even cats and kids. If you have a busy and chaotic household, dont worry, theyll fit right in.

At the same time, if you just look forward to relaxing in front of the TV with a cat, theyll be right there beside you.

Kitty: A Distinctive Feline

With large yellow eyes and gorgeous stripes throughout her fur, Kitty may not have a very unique name but is very special in her own way. This includes the fact that the 10-year-old orange tabby is a girl in the first place, as approximately 80% of all orange tabbies are male!

Although Kitty is a distinctive feline, unfortunately, her story is one seen quite often at the Arizona Humane Society. In mid-April of this year, this sweet girls owner unfortunately fell ill and was no longer able to care for her. Additionally, no one else close to them was able to take her in so she had nowhere else to turn but AHS. A great reminder to talk through all options and have a plan in place for your furry friends should an emergency ever arise.

Once in the shelter, it was found that Kitty was understandably stressed out with her new surroundings and the sudden changes that occurred in her life. Because of this, AHS Behavior Team worked with her each day to help her build confidence and trust in her two-legged friends. With lots of love, patience and letting Kitty go at her own pace, she has slowly started coming out of her shell and showing off how much she loves to take cat naps in shoe boxes, snuggle and playing with cat puzzle toys. Although she is doing much better, Kitty would benefit from a home where she is able to go at her own pace and have plenty of places to relax on her own.

Are Siamese Easy To Care For

Siamese are easy to care for, yes. The main issue with high-maintenance cats is dealing with long fur and thick coats.

Both of which Siamese do not have.

In fact, Siamese cats have short, thin fur. They dont shed a lot, its rare that youll have to help them resolve a knot or something like that in their fur.

A weekly brush helps them to keep their coats sleek and free of debris. But honestly, you dont have to brush them very often.

All they need is quality cat food, fresh drinking water, somewhere comfy to sleep , and plenty of love.

If you pinned me down to come up with a downside, the only thing I can think of is that they might be too active and vocal for some people.

But its a stretch to call it a downside. If youre getting a cat, the best part is building up that bond by spending time together playing and hanging out even if it is a bit one-sided!

Tango Mango: Energetic And Playful

Tango Mango is an active 7-year-old Chihuahua, weighing about 11 pounds. Tango Mango is an active, playful boy that is so cute when he plays! He has a very sweet side to him that loves to snuggle up with the volunteers on their laps when they visit with him. This happy-go-lucky guy loves to go for his outings and he walks well on a leash.

Tango loves running, playing fetch, but don’t expect him to bring whatever he’s fetching back! Although Tango does not seem to know the command to sit, he loves treats and will do a little dance on his hind legs and spin in a circle. If Tango’s new family has a dog, he’ll do best with a dog that likes to play. His energy might be too much for a quieter more laid-back dog. Tango will do best with older children as he doesn’t like to share his food.

How to adopt: This boy is available for adoption and ready to start living his best life with his new family! He is neutered, licensed, vaccinated and microchipped and his adoption fee is $195. No appointment is needed just visit Friends for Life Animal Rescue’s adoption center, located at 952 W. Melody Ave. in Gilbert, during hours of operation. You may visit http://www.azfriends.org before visiting to get started on your consultation form.

About Our Traditional Siamese Cats

Traditional Siamese hold the distinction of being the original type of Siamese cat, so called a ‘Siamese’ because they were bred by the Siamese king and given by him as gifts.
Traditional Siamese cats and kittens are calm, alert and so affectionate and people-oriented that many say that the Traditional Siamese Applehead makes the finest of all companion cats.
Our family has been breeding Traditional Siamese cats for nearly thirty years and two generations, and we are proud to have selected our breeding stock for their intelligence, loving and calm temperaments, robust health and beauty. See Letters and References Link to see photographs and letters from families with whom weâve placed kittens anywhere from 30 years ago to the last few months.
Our kittens are loose in our house and hand-raised as family members, to be friendly and affectionate companions, unafraid of children or the activity of a household. Their personalities range from lap cats to clowns but are usually a charming combination of both

We raise healthy, robust, and well-socialized Siamese kittens in four basic colors: seal, blue, chocolate, and lilac points. Kittens are normally ready to go to their new homes at the age of 12 weeks old. However, we evaluate each and every kitten individually before we release them. Even though 12 weeks seems like too long, this is the minimum time required for a Siamese kitten to be fully weaned, litter trained, socialized, and confident enough to face the unavoidable stress of transition to a new home. Our kittens are naturally weaned, litter trained, properly socialized, fully vaccinated, and de-wormed as appropriate for their age and health examined by our veterinarian.

The price for our kitten to a loving pet home is $1000. This includes:
