Then I worked with the adopter who had the same issue. Your Cat Is Looking For Attention
Sometimes a simple answer is the right one. Pay attention to me! Cats tend to need your focus at inconvenient times. And when you least expect it, you might get pounced on with claws and teeth.
Two things to remember here: Firstly, make time to play and interact with your cats, especially young cats.
Second, if and when a cat does randomly attack for attention, ignore them. More accurately, do not reward them. This will reinforce the behavior.
Your Cat Is Alarmed By Noise

Note that:

- Cut stress keep feeding, play and general life as routine as possible for your kitty. Cats often get sick when their schedules are out of whack.
- Maintain a healthy weight feeding a high quality, appropriate diet and keeping your cat active will help prevent many health issues, including coughing.
- Test for internal parasites that could be causing the cough.
- Switch to a dust free , preferably something unscented to minimise irritation.
- Run an air purifier or humidifier to improve the air quality and filter out possible irritants.
- Eliminate household sprays such as plug-in room fresheners, hairsprays, deodorants and insect sprays. If you cant eliminate these things then at least make sure youre not spraying them near your cat.
- Dont expose your cat to cigarette smoke, especially if he has asthma.
- Keep up with regular vaccines and include worming in this routine, especially if you live in a mosquito infested area.
- Dont overlook hairballs but also dont assume. If your cat is coughing but has nothing to show for it, the problem is likely to be something else.

Both the Queens and the Toms who are members of the group may attack the strange male to defend the kittens. If the new male wants to become a member of the group, it will likely require weeks or months of his peaceably and patiently hanging around the periphery of the groups area. He will have to gradually interact with the adults and show that he is not a danger to the groups well-being before he has a chance of being accepted as a member.
There May Be Latent Sexual Aggression Behaviors
This may be an issue in male cats, even neutered ones. Males have an instinct to grab and bite during mating. Sometimes this behavior persists instinctively, causing unwanted damage to owners.
When petting your cat, you may experience a sudden grabbing and biting that may have its origin in this sexual instinct or even incorrect . Often, when a cat grabs your arm or leg in this way, you can cause more damage if you try to remove the cat forcefully.
Likewise, female cats react to this behavior with claws of their own. It may mistake your affectionate petting as unwanted sexual behavior.
