Need To Find Your Pet A Home In Salt Lake City And Area
Find My Pet A Home offers compassionate pet rehoming services for caring pet owners who want the very best for their dog or cat.
No responsible pet owner wants to give up their dog or cat, but there are many understandable reasons why pet owners need to rehome a dog or cat in Salt Lake City.
Placing your beloved family member in a shelter or rescue is NOT the answer. Many local animal shelters are filled to capacity with pets needing homes, and sadly, many still put pets to sleep if they are not adopted right away, or are considered unadoptable due to age, health or behavior problems.
At Find My Pet a Home, we feel that all pets are adoptable with time and effort. It is a matter of finding the right match for each pet and casting a wide net in doing so. Finding a loving new home for your pet while they remain in your care is the very best solution for pets and owners. And that is exactly what the dedicated pet rehoming team from Find My Pet A Home in Salt Lake City do for our clients.
K For 25 Years Of Caws
25 years of rescue, foster care, medical cases, adoptions, happy forever stories, and the endless support from our community have made Community Animal Welfare Society the amazing non-profit organization we are today. For this reason we are choosing to celebrate by committing to saving more animals that deserve a chance at having a wonderful life. Our organization would not be able to function without the immense financial and volunteer force provided by
our community. For our 25th anniversary we are aiming to raise $25,000 by the end of 2019 that will support future animals rescued in our program. Throughout the campaign we will be sharing CAWS success stories that have been a direct result from the kind donations, volunteer hours, and amazing support we have received over the past 25 years. Keep checking in for updates and help us reach our goal! Link to donate:

Why Should You Adopt
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you’ll have a friend for life.
What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

SALT LAKE CITY Best Friends Animal Society, a collection of no-kill animal shelters, and other shelters across Utah are celebrating Black Cat Appreciation Day on Tuesday in an effort to bring Utah closer to become a no-kill state.
Black Cat Appreciation Day was created in an effort to recognize black cats who are often overlooked in shelters and rescues. A study investigating “black cat bias” found that black cats experience the highest euthanasia and lowest adoption rates compared to cats of other colors.
Temma Martin, with Best Friends Animal Society, said that celebrating black cats by adopting them or posting pictures of them on social media could help combat that bias, and possibly bring Utah closer to becoming a no-kill state. The state is about 800 animals shy of the title.
Betty and Pebbles would like your attention this National #blackcatappreciationday! These two are available to adopt today! Walk in to give them a cuddle & fall in love!
An Older Man Coaxed The Cat From His Kennel And Left The Store With Him
PetSmart security footage captured a man stealing a cat from an animal adoption area on Saturday, January 29, 2022.
| Jan. 30, 2022, 12:22 a.m.
A cat was stolen from a local PetSmart adoption area Saturday morning.
Employees at the store at 389 W. 1830 South said a man came to the store about 10 a.m. asking about adopting a cat, according to an email from a volunteer with the Community Animal Welfare Society. After they told him hed need to fill out an application, the man walked over to the cat kennels, coaxed a cat out and left the store with him.
Bosco, a black cat up for adoption by CAWS, was stolen from a Salt Lake City PetSmart on January 29.
The volunteer wrote that the cat, named Bosko, is about a year old with a black coat. The rescue has recently encountered several disturbing issues with cats and kittens being abused and killed, so they are concerned for the cats safety.
Bosko is usually friendly, and the rescue suspects he was likely a house cat before he was dumped with a feral cat colony. CAWS was fostering him until he found a permanent home.
The man was caught on camera at the PetSmart location, and anyone who recognizes him should contact to Salt Lake police at 801-799-3000 and CAWS at Boscos microchip number is 9810200435000214.
