Cat Friendly. We do everything we can to make your cats visit to our hospital less stressful and more comfortable. A few of our cat friendly features include Feliway calming towels in our lobby to place on your cats carrier and cat perches in each exam room for your cat to explore. We are ranked by AAFP as a Gold Level Cat Friendly Practice.

Before And After Surgery
Fasting Your Pet
- Unless directed otherwise, your pet will need to be fasted before any surgeries, dental cleanings, endoscopic exams, or sedation.
- No food should be given after 10 pm the night before surgery, but your pet can have water until 7 am the day of surgery.
- It is important that surgery be done on an empty stomach to reduce the risk of aspirating any vomit while anesthetized.
Pet Drop-Off and Pick-Up
- You will need to drop off your pet the morning of surgery between 7 am – 8 am.
- If you are unable to do this you may drop off your pet the night before at no extra charge.
- Depending on the type of surgery performed, your pet will go home that night or the next morning . We will let you know when we call with a post-op update.
- Surgeries that typically go home the day of surgery: dental cleaning , cat castration, mass/lump removal, minor laceration repair, and wound treatment.
- Surgeries that generally stay overnight: dog castration, dog spay, cat spay, aural hematoma repair, cystotomy, foreign body removal, and any orthopedic procedure.

While you cannot go in with your cat, I have went in before and they are as gentle as they can be with her cat. They make the environment calm and understand when you have a cat that does not enjoy going here. I cannot speak for the prices because this is the first vet I have taken my cats to. My cat also had dental work that was a pretty penny but, I think it as appropriate because my friends dog had the same done a shownd it cost a little more. I feel comfortable when my cats are with them!0

ABVP Specialists are among a very small group of doctors who have earned the Diplomate title fewer than 1000 exist in the United States and abroad.
The objective of an ABVP residency is to promote expertise and proficiency in species-specialty veterinary medicine by providing instruction and guidance through a structured residency program. Each resident is under close mentorship by a board certified ABVP feline specialist for the duration of their residency program.
Cats Only Veterinary Clinics residents have proven knowledge and expertise above and beyond what is required to practice veterinary medicine.
